Please come along to community centre’s annual gardening day on Sunday 12th February from 10am - until 1pm. We have no gardener so keeping the centre’s beds and borders neat and tidy is everyone’s responsibility. We need help removing the winter build-up of brambles, twigs and leaves, ending with composting, burning and dumping.
We’ll be providing tools, gloves, sandwiches and drinks and families are welcome. If you think you can make it please email I’M UP FOR THE SUNDAY DIG using the form below!
The Great Yorkshire Show-Off 2017
Saturday 4th February 2017 from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m
The centre is delighted to welcome back, for the second year running, Pocket Production's Great Yorkshire Show-Off competition 2017. Hosted by Cabaret Boom Boom's irrepressible Mr Maynard Flip Flap, the greatest talent show in Yorkshire features poets, burlesque performers, dancers and avant garde artists all vying to be crowned Yorkshire’s Greatest Show-Off.
With music by South Yorkshire’s very own klezmer cabaret band, The Balkan Bandits the show includes guest appearances from some of South Yorkshire's greatest show offs (who knows if David Hockney will appear this year, rumours abound…). More Andrew Logan’s Alternative Miss World than every Simon Cowell vehicle. Tickets are selling fast so early booking is advised. Tickets are £9.90 and are available from www.partyforthepeople.org.uk
