Featuring circus, music, games and comedy suitable for a family audience

Maynard Flip Flap and Stewart Lodge are joined by Sid Bowfin, Mr Herbert and Madame Zucchini

The show will be rounded off with our DJ for you to dance

Sat around tables, cabaret style, with full licensed bar and sweet treats

Tickets £6 children under 18, and £12 for ALL adults over 18

FN@WP5 , a local cabaret for local people, Hosted by Cabaret Boom Boom team, Mr Lodge , Mr Maynard, Madame Zuchinni and Trevor Organ.

A hilarious mix of music , circus and unknown talent to celebrate this years Walkley Festival.

We are keen to hear from any Walkley performers with music, poetry, comedy or other acts they wish to perform. All acts invited to perform will receive a percentage of the door takings.

Come and learn about the history of Walkley Community Centre (The Reform Club). Walkley Historians will be available on site to show you around Ruskin Hall, Appleyard Room and the Snooker Hall.

Find out more about the connection to the Sheffield confectionery trade. Early Minute Books, snooker trophies, historic receipts and other memorabilia will be on display. Children's colouring activities & Edwardian games like quoits and bagatelle available. Light Refreshments.

Japanese Star Festival "Tanabata Matsuri" 

 "Japan Day" with the theme of the Star Festival for families. Beautiful displays of decorated Tanabata bamboo poles/Kimono & Obi & Fans/Japanese traditional Crafts, Okinawa tea ceremony taster session and workshops on calligraphy/Tanabata decoration, storytelling and stalls for Japanese food and items etc. Run by The Japanese Play-group & Study-club

All ages Accompanied children only

A fund-raising event for running the group activities

Choose the adventure in a live interactive performance. Come merry folk from yonder to craft a tall tale with aid from the Story Master and a sprinkle of magic. Watch your protagonist spring to life as they embark on an epic quest,  as performed by Sheffield comedy improvisers. Will they fight a dragon? Save a village of pixies?  Anything can happen. Your characters, your locations, and with every fork in the road you decide where to go next... A fantasy fun filled night for all. Bar available

A Maker’s Fair showcasing Walkley Maker's skills with a craft fair and demos: Stained Glass, Guitar maker, Soap, Jewellery, Felting, Mushroom Growing Kits, Dried flowers & Macrame, Hand Spun & Hand Dyed Wool, Crochet, Wood-turning, Confectionery History, Quilting, Children's Crafts, Painting.
Demonstrations and activities for all ages.
Fund-raising cafe with tea, coffee and cakes available.
COST: Free entry but some activities may have a cost

You are invited to the launch of Walkley Historians' new book 'Victorian Walkley: the origins of a Sheffield suburb.'

The launch event will feature short talks by members of Walkley Historians about different aspects of Walkley’s Victorian history, refreshments and traditional music from Peter Smith and Friends.

There is also the chance to buy the first copies of the book at a special launch price of £10. Copies will then be available to buy from Beeches of Walkley and Walkley Library.

The book has been a three-year labour of love for members of Walkley Historians and has been funded by Lottery Players through the National Lottery Heritage Fund and is part of the Walkley Historians’ three-year Streets of Walkley project.

As well as the book, the Historians have held a Victorian Fair, storytelling sessions about pubs in pubs, a series of temporary exhibitions, school activities and the Walkley History Mystery whodunnit trail, which is available from Walkley Library.
