We are delighted to welcome Dr Jenny Stephenson who will be talking about the history of Sheffield’s hospitals.
Some of our local hospitals were founded by philanthropists whilst others originated as workhouses. A number no longer exist but some of their imposing buildings remain, now used for other purposes.
Jenny will be speaking about the vital importance of our hospitals during times of war, epidemics and other periods of significant social change.
Entry by donation, £2.00 suggested. Includes refreshments served before the talk.
If you are interested in Sheffield local history please come along to our talk.
